Encouraging and supporting historical research of the early modern and recent history of Indonesia (formerly known as the Dutch East Indies) is one of the important objectives of The Corts Foundation. It is sometimes difficult for historians to find contemporary secondary sources, and search through them for research purposes.
The Corts Fundation has collected some publications for this reason (with the aid of Leiden University, and NIOD) and made these digitally full text searchable. Publications that, as far as known, are not available on the internet elsewhere. These works are free of copyrights, as far as can be traced, because they are mostly published in the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century. THese publications are of great historical significance by themselves, and also because the writers have used many original primary archival sources from the 17th through the 20th century.
Each of the works (in Dutch) below are fully downloadable in PDF and the text has been added with automated text recognition.
- Corpus Diplomaticum Neerlando-Indicum
